Ian Winrow

FOUNDER | SOLICITOR

Ian founded Winrow Solicitors in 2018, he is experienced in Employment Law having appeared in his first Employment Tribunal hearing in 2002. Since then he has represented both employee and employer many times, and as a Solicitor Advocate (Civil) he conducts his client’s Advocacy himself. He will provide you with clear pragmatic ‘no nonsense’ advice without giving you false expectations about your claim. Ian is a member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association, and the Solicitor’s Association of Higher Court Advocates.

Ian has an enviable success rate in claims he takes to Tribunal where his single‑minded stubbornness and tenacity see that clients are given every opportunity to achieve their aims. Until recently Ian lectured part-time at Bangor University’s Law School being module leader for Employment law.

Ian, was born and grew up in Yorkshire, in the then mining village of Askern. After leaving school he qualified as a teacher but in 1972 with his wife, Barbara, founded the well-known tourist attraction, Piggery Pottery and relocated to Wales in 1984. Until a few years ago, Ian played cricket for several clubs, latterly Bangor Cricket Club.

His hard-working, sports-oriented background has given him the desire to win, combined with a determination to see fair play.

Ceri Adl

SOLICITOR

Ceri Adl is a Solicitor at the firm specialising in Family Law.

Ceri joined Winrow Solicitors in 2023 as a Trainee Solicitor and has since qualified, building strong experience across a broad range of family law matters. During her training, she developed particular expertise in assisting parents in contact and residence disputes, as well as advising on divorce proceedings.

Ceri now advises clients on all aspects of family law, with a focus on child arrangements, care proceedings, divorce and financial remedy matters, and domestic abuse cases, including non-molestation and occupation orders. She is known for combining clear, practical advice with a calm and empathetic approach, particularly in sensitive and complex matters.

In addition to her core family practice, Ceri also advises on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and has experience in civil dispute matters.

Ceri graduated from Bangor University in 2020 and completed the LPC LLM at The University of Law, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2026. She is a fluent Welsh speaker and regularly advises clients in both Welsh and English.

Ceri is recognised for her approachable and supportive manner, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. She combines technical expertise with a genuinely client-focused approach, ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their case. Whether dealing with sensitive children matters or complex financial issues, she is dedicated to achieving practical, effective results tailored to each client’s individual needs.

Bethanie

Trainee SOLICITOR

Bethanie is a Trainee Solicitor with 3 years of previous experience working within a firm in the Cotswolds specialising in Private Client and Family Matters.

Bethanie graduated with a law degree from Solent University in 2019 after serving as elected Women’s Officer for 2 consecutive terms, Student Trustee & Director of Solent SU, President of the European Law Society, Vice President of the Law Society & President & Corporate Relations Executive of Enactus Solent. Upon graduation she spent 3 years working within an electrical firm as legal & contracts advisor before leaving the firm to pursue a full-time career in legal practice in 2021. Bethanie strives to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients, whilst also making the proceedings as understandable as possible for her clients, with one of her core values being that legal proceedings are stressful enough without then having to try and understand the legal jargon.

Outside of work Bethanie enjoys writing and maintaining a lifestyle blog, reading, Formula 1 racing and the occasional computer game.
